Facade renovation for the Ministry of Finance

The year 2023 began with the successful completion of the facade renovation project for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia. HAGBERG started a simplified renovation of the facade as per the order of VAS "Valsts nekustamie īpašumi".

As part of the construction project, the exterior decoration of the building was repaired, including the restoration of the facade's decoration and all metal elements (bars at basement windows, forged metal gates), as well as replacement of all tin window sills and borders (except for the roof parapet).

The building was built in neoclassical forms, and its facade is decorated with elements of the classicism style - large order pilasters, columns, cornices. The plinth of the building is finished with roughly hewn granite blocks; pinkish dolomitized sandstone is used for the cladding of the first floor, and yellowish dolomitized sandstone from the banks of the Ogre River is used for the upper floors.
